Nobles Ladies and Friends,

Another year, another Potentate.  What does that tell you?  That we are getting older?  Although age is not a particularly interesting subject, it is a fact that anyone can become old.  All you have to do is live long enough.                

It is natural for you to ask, with a new regime at hand, “What is so wonderful at Sabbar”?  Remember the beer advertisement that claimed, “This Bud’s for you!”….Well, in like manner, this year at Sabbar is for you!  Still not overawed?  Can’t blame you!  Let’s try another approach.             

The idea here is to encourage you to step out and enjoy the most precious commodity that exists in your life, YOUR TIME!  Too many people just sit and let time roll by.  At birth, you received an endowment of years, hours and minutes which make up the fabric of your life.   From this you must spin out of it your happiness, success, and the disposition of your immortal soul.  This is life and it is upon us.  And, it is a true talent to know how to enjoy it.   

If you have never waited for footsteps that will come no more, or listened for a voice that will not be heard again, you have not lived a portion of life that should make the times you now encounter all the more meaningful.  For, if you have suffered and known and felt, you have experienced an ordinary life.  And, as the course of an ordinary life travels onward, its history should help its owner savor special occasions with friends who think like them.                    

Opportunities abound.  They surround you.  The victors are those who see and seize.  Every time we have an event here at Sabbar, you have an opportunity to own the field.  It’s like kissing your love…the more you do it, the better it gets.  The more events you attend, the better they get and the more comfortable you become in this atmosphere.
